Biography

Soham Chakraborty is an Indian film actor, singer and politician. He established himself as a popular and successful actor in Bengali cinema. He has received several accolades, including two Star Jalsha Entertainment Awards and a Tele Cine Awards. Soham recently joined in Politics of India. He is a member of All India Trinamool Congress.

Soham Chakraborty was born on 4 March 1984 in Diamond Harbour, West Bengal, India. He studied at Patha Bhavan, which is a private school. Soham was involved with Tollywood film industry from very early childhood.

When he was only three years old, started film career and was able to touch the audience heart by his acting quality as a child artist. He acted in more than seven films as a child actor at his early life.

Soham Chakraborty made his debut in the film industry with Bengali movie Choto Bou as a child actor in 1987 when he was only three years old. His first film at a young age was Chander Bari. His first commercial successful film was Prem Aamar, directed by Raj Chakraborty and produced by Shree Venkatesh Films.

After that he acted in films like Rahasya, Jeena, and Soldier which were commercially average. His another super hit film was Amanush which directed by Rajib Biswas, released in 2010. He has appeared in many popular Bengali films including comedy film Le Halua Le, Romantic film Jaanemaan, Bjhena Shey Bojhena, Loveria, Bangali Babu English Mem, Golpo Holeo Shotti, Amanush 2, Jamai 420, Black, Amar Aponjon etc. Soham also anchored in a reality show Twinkle Twinkle Dancing Star. He was also the host of Parar Sera Bouthan, replacing Aneek Dhar, which airs on ETV Bangla.

After six years love relation, Soham Chakraborty married to Tanaya Paul on 23 November 2012. The couple has a son named Saanjh Chakraborty.
