Salman Khan is an Indian film actor, producer, television personality, singer and also a philanthropist. His full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. He has received numerous awards, including two National Film Awards as a producer and two Filmfare Awards as an actor. He is one of the most popular and commercially successful actors of Indian cinema.Salman Khan was born on 27 December 1965 in Indore to Salim Khan and Sushila Charak. His father is renowned scriptwriter who has written many hit movies. He has a stepmother, Helen who is a former actress. He had spent early years of childhood at Indore and Gwalior.
He finished his schooling at St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra, Mumbai. Then he attended St.Xavier's College in Mumbai and dropped out. His brothers are Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan who are also actor and director. He has two sisters Alvira and Arpita.
Salman Khan made his acting debut in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, in which he played a supporting role. He played his first lead role in Sooraj Barjatya's romantic family drama Maine Pyar Kiya. This is one of India's highest-grossing films.
