Vimala Raman is an Australian actress and model who has worked in all South Indian film industries, and predominantly appears in Telugu and Malayalam films. Born in Australia, she is a Kannadiga from Bangalore and made her debut in 2005 with the Tamil film Poi. An established Bharatanatyam dancer and a graduate in B.Sc Information Systems from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Raman had also won the titles of "Miss India Australia" in 2004[2] and "Miss India Worldwide - Beautiful Face" in 2005.
